Headstand in yoga is one of the most challenging posture. Sometime fear of falling stops from attempting to pratice the Headstand. Learning to do headstand also teaches you how to confront our fears and letting go of our fears.
Benefit of headstand: The headstand lifts your spirits wonderfully when something is drawing you down. Practicing headstand is also a morning wake-up call. It increases the digestive fire, counters depression and fills you with enthusiasm for meeting your day.
Pranayama: (breathing exercise) Most people have forgotten how to breath properly. Pranayama will teach you how to control the breath thus learning how to control your mind.
Since your state of mind reflects in the way you breath, by controlling the breath you can learn how to control the state of your mind.
Meditation: Meditation teaches you how to keep your thinking as positive as possible specially on days when where your peace of mind is shattered by anger and unhappiness. By using simple techniques you can train your mind to a state of concentration.
